Having trouble getting started on your project? The Color-Helper will offer
some ideas for color palettes. After you read in a starting color, the
Color-Helper provides palettes based on three types of color schemes: Monochromatic, complementary and adjacent.
| |
Monochromatic schemes suggest additional colors that are the same hue as the
starting colors, but lighter and darker. These designs tend to be
uncomplicated and usually calming.
| |
Complementary schemes use the traditional color wheel to suggest colors that
are opposite in hue to the starting color (e.g., classics like green and
red). These schemes are usually a bit more bold and colorful.
| |
Adjacent schemes use the traditional color wheel to suggest schemes that
have similar color characteristics (e.g., warm or cool). These can be a bit
more unusual, striking color combinations.
